Chapter 08
"It is now past 12 o’ clock, the preliminary battles of the school has ended and those who have participated are currently in the nurses stations all around school. Our heroes, are all also among the injured inside the stations. Exam giver Hikaru Katsumi, made sure the group stayed together, sending them all to nurse station in the East Wing of the school, telling them there is a really good nurse there who is a friend of hers. The only thing lingering on the minds of the dream seekers, what did the council grade them as?”
Markus leaned on the wall of the nurse station awaiting two of his friends getting patched up, and one of them to just awake in general. The entire time he was passing time by playing random trial games on his phone and looking up apps while surfing the web. "Oh my god, its been four hours. I know Terence and Jarvis ain’t sleep, only Dom is.” is yelled out loud enough so the nurse would hear him. While his friends caught it far worse than he did, Markus only really had one bandage on his cheek. Everything else about him was fine, even his jersey suffered no damage. "They’ll be out, Shizuka’s pretty good with this sort of thing. I could have taken you to ANOTHER less interesting one” a voice came from the door. Markus looked over to see Hikaru returning with her friend Lianna. Markus stared at the red head for a bit. "You were the one who fucked Dom up?” he asked bluntly. Lianna laughed nervously while scratching her head. She only appeared to have a long strip on her noise. She rose her hand up and smiled. "Guilty. Is he alright? Maybe I should have held back on him. I thought he was fully prepared.” She said concerned. Markus got silent for a bit thinking about Dominic in the nurse office. "Yeah you probably should have. He’s sleep in there.” Hikaru gasped when she heard that. She herself having a few bandages on her face. "You knocked him out Lianna? Isn’t that a tad overboard?” Lianna sighed. "How was I supposed to know he was going to go unconscious from an attack like that? He spoke like he could take it!” She sounded as if she was begging for them to believe her. The front door to the nurse office opened up and Terence and Jarvis emerged from it.
The nurse following not to far behind them smiling brightly. She was a blonde nurse, very beautiful face with a chest that some would swear could protect from even the mightiest punches. Just as she came in full view of everyone Markus completely shifted his attention from the other girls to her. "Oh god…” Lianna muttered under her breath to Hikaru. "You took them to Shizuka Marikawa?” Hikaru nodded quickly. "Yeah, I know how boys their age think. Give them a girl with a treasure chest sized bust and their happy. Just look at Markus, he hasn’t taken his eyes off of her.” They both stare at him who is staring at Shizuka. "Or rather her bosom” Lianna muttered and sighed. "I know this school is mostly fighting but you two must promise to be okay. And if something hurts please don’t hesitate to come to me.” Terence, Jarvis, and Markus lit up. "Hey, don’t won’t be a problem.” Markus yelled from across the small hall. "Excuse me Ms. Marikawa” Lianna interrupted the gawking. "How is that boy Dominic doing?”. "Dominic? Which one is he?” Shizuka asked. Lianna began to show visible anger. "The one who is wearing a blue thermal, possibly has his glasses beside him on the desk…if they aren’t…broken.” Lianna began to talk a bit quietly. "The one who sleep…apparently got his ass whipped.” Markus yelled out loud again. Shizuka still seems to be drawing a blank. It’s understandable to everyone though since there are probably dozens of students in there unconscious. "Can one of you show me?” Terence, Jarvis, and Markus rose their hands up. "Put your hands down! I’ll go” Lianna yelled walking towards the door going in between Jarvis and Terence who looked at each other and back at her. The door closed again and they were all waiting in the hall again.
"Man if that bitch…” Markus said but stopped as if he had more to say. "What the hell is up with her? I come out and see a chick with a attitude? Markus what did you do?” Jarvis asked. "I don’t know what her problem is, she better chill though.” "She’s like that sometime” Hikaru added in, for the first time not smiling. "I’m not sure why myself but she’s always so stern. Just like Rin. You know that first hand right umm…Terence right?” Terence was staring off into space the entire time not even realizing he wasn’t in his blue jean jacket anymore. "Huh?” He looked up at everyone only hearing his name. Hikaru waved at him and he waved back hesitantly. "That was a great match between you and Rin, not too many people can trudge along with her. And considering she gave you her approval, that’s even more of a crowning achievement of awesome. Consider yourself lucky. She only ever picked a guy once and he doesn’t go to this school anymore.” Terence looked at Hikaru with a confused face. "How come? Did he transfer?” Hikaru shrugged. "I don’t know. She wouldn’t tell me but I know she was pretty hard on him.” She said it with a straight smile. Jarvis and Markus looked at Terence who was looking worried now. "Yeah sounds like you just sold your soul to the devil.” Jarvis said. Terence looked down and muttered under his breath, "Aww….”
"Who did you have to fight?” Markus asked Jarvis. "I had to fight a girl named Kallen, and it was totally worth it because…she was hot.” Jarvis said with a straight face. "Was she that red head you was talking too when we was inside the nurse room? Markus asked. "Yes. You saw her? Tell me that won’t right?” Jarvis give them all the "you know it” look. "You going to go for it?” Markus asked. Jarvis paused for a bit. "I’m going to wait for a bit, but you know I can get her if I wanted too.” Jarvis said confidently. "Hey!” Hikaru interrupted again and everyone looked at her. "While we’re on the subject…everyone here is…single right?” She asked a odd question out of the blue having everyone look at her weirdly. Not that anyone here was thinking she is ugly, Hikaru was actually quite the look, a slender figure with a perfect cheerleader face. Her dimples were her strong point in her features alongside her long legs, which she seemed to show off with very low cut skirts. The oddness however came from the surprise of the question. "Y-yeah?” Terence answered again hesitantly. "Cool, just keeping the possibilities open ‘kay?” She said with a cute smile. Everyone got quiet again and silence filled the room with the exception of some of the patients within in the nurse room. "Oh and for the record…I’m single too.” She added on to break the silence. Everyone nodded and remained silent again until Jarvis pulled out his phone eventually receiving a weird text. It read, "in about 1 minute, the world will see a champ emerge” Everyone looked at him who had a done look on his face. "What’s up?” Terence asked. Jarvis shook his head, "Nope nothing”. He nodded to himself and smirked.
"Look at all these broke jabroni’s sitting up in the nurses office, looking sad, while the great one, didn’t need the treatment.” Everyone looked around the hallway but saw nobody and didn’t know where the voice was coming from. Jarvis looked at his phone clock and put the phone away back in his pocket. "Yep, bout to go to the bathroom.” He began walking off while the person continued talking. "Oh that’s right, everyone here…should already know what time it is…and what’s about to go down.” Terence began to stare off again thinking to himself. "That voice…it can’t be…” Hikaru looked at him, "Who is it Terry?” Markus looked at him too. "Yeah tell me if you know because-” Markus stopped and he and Terence both looked at Hikaru. "Terry?” Markus asked her. She nodded "Terence is so normal don’t you think? But Terry says great things!” She smiled at them who looked at her again with the ‘what’ face. They both shook it off, "It sounds like the one douche bag that I don’t wasn’t going to make it” Terence said. "Yeah and who is that douche bag?” Markus asked. "I’ll just let him finish…he’s going to say it anyway.” Terence said. The voice began to continue, "At least one jobber knows who I am, but in case you’re wondering, I’ve been the most thought about character in this whole story. You erased me from your mind but you can’t forget what you always remember…and I know…that you all…want too…” The lights cut off in the hall way for a second surprising everyone. "See……me!” Just as he said that the lights came back on revealing the voice to be Erik, the fifth friend who was undecided to coming in. He seemed to be in his wrestling persona, Blackbird, sporting his black t-shirt and white shorts with black stripe motif. He looked around the hall at a done faced Markus, and not surprised Terence, and a Hikaru clapping for him. "Where is that jackass?” Erik asked everyone in the room. Just as he asked his cell phone text message tone went off. He read the text to himself which read, "Legends don’t have to wait for unworthy birdcalls. Look directly up” Erik looked at and saw Jarvis standing out in the courtyard window of the nurse office smiling devilishly and raising both arms up. Erik smirked and pointed at him, "Damn him!”
