WELCOME TO THE DREAMS UNIVERSE

Chapter 11

The group walked along the walkways from the east wing walking towards the main hall, admiring the schoolyard as they walked along. "Man this school is super big.” Dominic said. "It gets to be a lot really” Hawk said. "Being here for two years it doesn’t seem that big anymore but looking at it from your point of view, yeah it’s hella huge.” Most of everyone laughed at Hawk who seemed to be in a more casual mood than the no nonsense mode he is usually in. "You’re going to be sitting with us Hawk?” Terence asked. "I’m sorry I cannot. I have to be on stage with the council during the speech. More than likely I am the one to give it.” He said. "Must be hard” Terence said a little quiet. Hawk looked at him as they continued walking. "I think I see the reason Tohsaka choose you.” he said out of nowhere. Terence looked at him and shoved him a bit. "Oh! Well tell me why then?” she said sarcastically. Hawk laughed a hearty laugh. "It would kill the mood if I said it but trust me I know why.” He smiled as Rin hit him again. "You don’t know anything idiot!” she folded her arms while Hawk looked at Terence and whispered to him. "This one’s a little feisty, so be extra careful eh?” Terence nodded and she hit both of them. "Don’t be like Hawk Terence” Rin said to him. "It’ll get you in a rough spot real quick, don’t only reason he gets away with it is because he can back it up.” Terence nodded and began thinking about his future to himself as to why Rin choose him. Jarvis was walking beside Kallen talking to her while Rin bickered with Hawk about Terence. "You’re from Japan right?” Jarvis asked and Kallen nodded. "Yeah why?” She asked. "What’s it like over there?” She laughed a bit. "That’s a hard question to answer in a short amount of time. I guess I can give it to you clearly. It’s a beautiful place.” She said. "There’s so much to do, I like how you all tried to replicate the experience. But there is no substitute.” She added in. "That’s what’s up. I’m going to have to try to go sometime.” Jarvis said. "Yeah? I can recommend some places.” He smiled at her who smiled at him. "Word? Cool.” He said. "Oh and next time we spar, I’m certain I don’t want you holding back.” He added in with a smirk and she laughed a bit looking at him. "Is that so? Sounds like a challenge to me” He nodded to her, "You know it.” She shook her head, "If you want to give it a go…I’ll be at the training center tomorrow running some drills. Want to join me?” She asked him. "Yeah that’s what’s up.” She nodded, "I’ll give you the number to the room when I get it, you better do the same.” She said. "Yeah I will” Jarvis said. He turned to the opposite side of her and thought to himself, "Yes…!”

Markus shook his head at Jarvis flirting with Kallen while Hikaru giggled at them. "He’s making progress. "Hikaru said. "Naw I don’t think so.” Markus said with a semi straight face. "You don’t think so? They seem happy though.” Markus shook his head, "You can’t tell when someone playing can you?” He asked bluntly. She laughed a bit. "Guess not.” she said smiling at him. "Why are you’re dimples so perfect?” Markus asked poking them. "You think their perfect! Maybe you’re starting to think I’m cute? I can forgive that pervy reversal you did on me if you genuinely think so” She said playful nudging him. "Hold up what? I knew you were flirting with me. You actually liked when I touched you on your thigh didn’t you?” She turned her head to the side and tried to feign innocent. "Yeah…it was weird though.” Hikaru admitted surprising Markus. "I don’t know how to respond that” He said laughing. She began laughing with him. "So Saturday and Sundays are rest days for you? Sounds similar to me. I’ll be sleep on Sunday too…unless "someone” wants to hang out.” She said hinting to him. "I know what you’re doing and…” he paused for a bit making her look at him. "You give me your number” Hikaru laughed and smiled brighter. "I’ll give it to you Sunday then.” Markus looked at her nodded, "Aight word.” He looked back ahead of him and said to himself, "Man that was too easy”. Erik was on the other side of Markus and Hikaru with Dominic looking at the main hall as they approached it. "You want that rematch with that red head that bad man?” Erik asked. "Yeah, she got in lucky hits.” Dominic said. "I don’t want her thinking she beat me fear, I was holding back cause she was a girl.” he added. "Can’t be doing that man, go in for the knockout regardless of who it is. My motto is if she going to this school she can take what I can dish out feel me?” Erik said. Dominic nodded listening to his words. "You got lucky you passed this time around, but you got to prove to her that you deserve the push she gave you. Think of it like wrestling. She passing the torch onto you per say.” He said. "Yeah I know. I’m going to ask Hawk if he train with me so I can get strong quick.” Dominic said. "What the heck?” Erik said. "Brah, ain’t know such thing as getting strong quick, that takes hard work. Real talk, just work at it man. I’m telling you, you’ll get results.” He said to Dominic to just kept nodding. "Yeah I know.” he said. Erik shrugged. "Aight, don’t disappoint me man.”

They all walked into the main hall and went to the left door entering the auditorium which was huge. It is easily the size of a large opera room complete with the upstairs balcony. The entire room was filled with the chatter of the students who passed gossiping about what they will do when they finally get in and about the council. "This is about as far as I go with you all” Hawk said. "I’ll be the first to congratulate you all. But if you’ll excuse me, I have to make to the stage, and from the looks of it. I’m just in time. I had fun hanging out with you all though. I would really like to do this again sometime.” He bowed to them all and made his way to the stage with his head held up strongly. "A compliment from Hawk? Impressive.” a girl said walking up to the group and waving. "Lianna!” Hikaru said loudly hugging her friend. "Hika-chan! You’re holding me a bit tight” Lianna said hugging her back too. Hikaru giggled, "Sorry Lia-chan!” Erik smiled at both of them. "You two seem like good friends.” Lianna nodded quickly. "Yes, I’ve known Hikaru since we were young.” She turned her attention to Dominic, "Please forgive me Dominic-kun. I didn’t mean to hurt you like I did…” "Naw it’s good” Dominic said. "I’m going to train so I can be strong.” Lianna smiled when she heard this. "That…is good to know. I look forward to seeing you progress.” She looked to the rest of his friends. "And forgive my attitude from earlier today. I was just on edge knowing I hurt someone…I really don’t like to injure people. I hope I hadn’t came off as smug with my strong personality. May we start again, my name is Lianna Saria.” She smiled and bowed to them all. "I was wondering why, it’s cool but don’t be so uptight man.” Markus said. Lianna bowed again, "Forgive me uhh…” "Markus” he said. "Ah Markus-kun”. Rin interrupted the talk, "We should sit down now, the floors dispersing and we’ll soon be the only ones standing. Let’s move to that row over there.” She pointed to a row that was beginning to fill up quickly in the center floor. They all moved over to the row and barely made it filling it up with all of them in the same row with Terence beside Rin, Jarvis beside Kallen, Markus beside Hikaru, Lianna beside Dominic, and Erik sitting at the end. They looked to the stage just as the council began talking.

"Excuse me. May we have your attention. Please settle down.” The room got quiet as the council spoke. "We are happy to see the faces of our future in this room today. It is with a heavy heart that those who did not make it will not be here for they have developmental classes to take and thus will not be here this year. However, we are happy to know that a record number was broken since a higher number of students passed the test this year. So, when the time comes for the class photo, the entire freshman class will take one together to commemorate this record breaking and extraordinary day. Now, we shall have a word from Hawk, the leading figure of this school who is to give the introductory speech.” The entire room was filled with clapping and cheers for the school hero Hawk. He is without a doubt the most well known one here and the respect he gets from council and students alike is amazing. He walked up to the podium just as the other council sat down clearing his throat. He began speaking, with no script at the podium, everyone knows this is coming from his heart.

"Congratulations and welcome Freshman Class of 2012. I am happy to be the one to give your introductory speech into the Anime Academy of Virginia. For those who did not pass, they will be remembered and their best interests placed in our hearts as they complete their developmental classes to be able bodied Freshman. But you, the ones who have proven themselves worthy and deserving to learn the arts needed to become something in this new, ever changing world have become the future of this school. In two years, I and many juniors and seniors shall be gone, but you will be the ones to continue our legacy. Becoming the future inspirations for the freshman that will come to continue your legacy when your days here shall also come to pass. Now that you are all students here, there is a certain conduct that will be expected of you. You will always be expected to do your best. No matter what. Just because this is a school of training in the arts does not mean you should skim on your academics. Failure to do so will result in expulsion. Your school days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. These days you are expected to go to your classes, failure to do so will result in your discipline. Further acts will result in your expulsion. Your free days, which are Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday are considered school days, but they are not full blown. You will be doing things on your own at that point, this includes training centers, libraries, and sparring arenas. The town will also be open starting tomorrow but the bullet train will not be operational until next week. Proper etiquette is expected of you doing training and sparring sessions. You will not under any circumstances critically injure your opponent or attempt to kill them in any way. Doing so will result in your expulsion and turnover to local police officials. We are not telling you to not use your strongest attacks however. Make sure you are aware of what you are doing and are holding back at least enough to not bring harm to your partner. We are all proud of you, proud that you are ready to accept your responsibilities. From now on, I induct thee, students of 2012, as Freshman of the Virginia Academy. Your dorm rooms will be emailed to you via the emails you signed up with or if you registered with a cell phone, text to you also. The dorm rooms are split. We do not want to see Males in the females dorms after 9 o clock. We will discipline those who do. School hours are from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm. Once the school clubs open up, you are expected to come two hours earlier, but it’s not a requirement. We’ll conclude this speech with the school song.”

With that Hawk bowed to the freshman class and continued to stand up as the council stood up with him and the school of the song began to play with the whole school singing along. This was the beginning, five people came in with a dream, and the dream is beginning to be realized. For all of the things they began to see on television, the adventures and the predicaments all of the heroes they grew up with went through, they too were well on their way to becoming the very heroes they idolized…
