TJ struggled with the death beam fired by Meta. He began slowly sliding back noticeable losing the fight against the attack and desperately trying to think of something to do. "This isn’t good. If I let it beat me, I’ll surely be obliterated along with Lianna, Zen, Erik, and Ralph behind me. I’ve got to think of something…” Erik looked on closely examining the situation and quickly came up with an idea. He turned to Zen and Ralph. "Zen what’s the most powerful weapon you can materialize?” Zen thought for a bit, "That would probably be my be my chaser rockets. Though I doubt it’ll do anything to him.” Erik looked back at Meta who was had no facial expression on his face while holding the omega flare. "I think he can’t move.” Erik said bluntly. Lianna and Ralph looked at Erik while Zen began to see what he was seeing. "That’s impossible right? Someone with his magical talent-” Erik put up his hand to Lianna and pointed to Meta with his other one. "Pay close attention, he is clearly concentrating.” Zen nodded, "No one I know of, even Azrals can cast something that powerful without fully concentrating on it. We can buy TJ time for a counter attack and end this.” Ralph clenched his sword tightly and gritted his teeth. "What exactly you got in mind?” Erik began thinking about a attack he cannot possibly dodge. "I’ll trap him within the earth to ensure he cannot possibly just ditch the attack and move.” He looked at Ralph, "Ralph we need you to speedily perform a move that he will deflect or block. No matter what he is going to ditch the attack. At the same time Ralph performs a powerful attack, Zen hit him not with a rocket but a flash bang. Can you materialize those?” Zen looked shocked but nodded interested in his plan. He looked at Lianna who also began to look surprised. "Lianna I want you to rush him. As soon as he looks at you move out the way. By then TJ would have a charged Super Shockwave coming and it should connect.” Erik looked at TJ who was down on his knee holding off the attack. Erik began to mouth the attack to him without speaking it and after the second time TJ nodded affirmatively.
Erik sighed because of the simple fact they had probably one shot at this and everything has to go according to plan. Erik looked at the others to see if they were ready and when they nodded he nodded as well. He held out his hands toward Meta and began to concentrate on the area where he was standing. Beneath the dirt path he stood the earth began to come up slightly forming a ring around his feet. Erik clinched his fist and the ring binds itself onto Meta’s feet suddenly. Meta looked down at his feet confused as to what just happened. "What!?” He looked towards Erik who was smirking devilishly while Ralph flew towards him in his angel mode. Ralph drew his sword and dug it into the ground as he charged him engulfing his body into flames that eventually formed a dragon ready to smite its prey. Meta gritted his teeth and dropped the Omega Flare spell and put up a field of energy in front of him. Ralph’s attack connected with the barrier sparking lightning and fire around the point of impact obscuring both of the fighters vision. Just as the attack Zen dashed in with Lianna close behind. He turned behind himself to look at her. "You remember right?” Lianna nodded and he smiled getting close to Meta and sliding just past him and Ralph who was dashing backwards. As he slid he dropped a flash grenade right at the base of Meta’s feet and went into a roll back to his feet continuing to run behind him. Just as Meta could see again the flash grenade went off to obscure his vision and disorient him even more. Lianna seeing this believed this to be an opportunity to strike. "Maybe I can strike him…and damage him even more.” She speed up her charge and held her blade behind her shield. Erik shook his head looking a little angry. "She isn’t going to…Lianna don’t do what I think you’re going to do!” She ignored Erik’s message and continued to charge at Meta. Meta had closed his eyes for a moment to cure the blind that his eyes just experienced and return them to normal. As his sight returned he smiled and opened them to see Lianna just a few feet in front of him. He laughed a bit and held out a hand which charged with energy again. Erik, Ralph and Zen recognized it as another Omega Flare attack. Erik began to think to himself, "I didn’t think he can charge another one up so fast..” Lianna eyes widened as she saw the attack coming her way. "Nice fiasco dears, but nothing and I mean nothing…beats magic!” He smiled firing the beam right at her giving her almost next to no time to dodge. A stream of white and blue energy rushed towards her and connected with her shield, in which she turned into a full guard position and placed her on incantation on the shield. The incantation gave the shield a harder shell which surprised Meta. Lianna smiled while in the guard position. "I know…but you Azrals aren’t the only one’s who studied magic!” Meta smirked, "But this low level shell spell won’t work for long.” Lianna laughed a bit. "Yes, but who said I was trying to attack you?” "Hey Meta!” Meta heard a voice that came from beside him.
He turned to his left and saw TJ with his sword held up high with a beam of light that shined to the heavens. "You gotta learn how to not be distracted so easily” TJ slammed the sword into the ground using a greatly improved version of his Shockwave attack. The beam of light was at least 20 feet tall and traveled at a very high speed splitting the ground as it traveled. Meta smirked and dropped the Flare spell again went to dodge to the right. He didn’t move the first time and tried again. When he looked down he saw what he had forgot about. "My feet was still bound…how could I have forgotten…” He looked up and took TJ’s Shockwave attack on full engulfing his body in light which ripped away at his flesh and threw him into the ground in a crater that also erupted in light. Lianna fell to her knees as her shield crumpled up and turned to dust and TJ did the same breathing hard and laughing. Erik took a breather himself and walked towards TJ and held out his hand after staring at him. TJ grabbed his hand and Erik picked him up as they were joined by Lianna, Zen, and Ralph. "Do you think that was it?” Ralph asked. TJ looked at him and nodded. "Has to be, I put everything into that Shockwave. Dad would’ve been proud!” TJ said smiling. Lianna hugged him tight while he was smiling and Erik looked on towards the crater which he was struck in. Erik began walking over towards it while the others were celebrating. "Not to say that he didn’t do a good job, but don’t those fools know, if you don’t see him die, then…” Erik stopped at the crater and looked into it and saw Meta lying there with his robe torn in half. Meta looked like a bold old man who was just tired and misinformed. Erik shook his head, "Probably was lied too by the very ones we want to defeat.” Erik sighed again and turned his back and began walking away. As he was walking away he heard a sound from the crater. Erik gritted his teeth and turned around seeing Meta literally levitating out of the crater and landing in front of him with his outfit intact. "That’s impossible, you were dead!” TJ and the others looked over to where Erik was and couldn’t believe it either. "No way…I thought TJ creamed him…” Lianna said. The others joined by Erik side as Meta began to speak.
"Yes I did die. But you see there is a reason why Azrals are considered some of the most powerful in the world.” He looked to the skies, "I was born during the time we were at war with Eve and her hell minions. So it was customary, for us at our coming of age to cast an ancient spell known only to the Azrals. The spell was one that would grant a second life should we be killed on the battlefield.” Lianna began shaking, "So…the Life…it’s a real spell.” Meta looked back at her. "Yes, we created it just like we created all of the other spells you probably have been taught. Which is why I told you your Shell was pathetic though good enough to keep me at bay. I wasn’t expecting to waste my second life on you band of warriors but it appeared I had highly underestimated you all. I believe it is time to pull out and use the far more higher level spells this time around.” "Damn!” Ralph shouted. "He wasn’t even fighting for real and he gave us a hard time.” TJ clenched his fist and thought to himself. "This is bad…I’m definitely in no condition to go fighting anyone right now…why’d this job have to be a pain in the ass…” "Now” Meta said charging his body with fire, ice, and thunder all at once. The energy could be seen passing in and out of his body just as if it was his life essence. "Shall we begin round 2?” "Not from them you won’t!” Everybody looked behind Meta and couldn’t believe their eyes who had come to their rescue.
Yuriko stood firm behind Meta. She had her rod firmly in her hand with a crescent moon on top of it pointed towards Meta. Meta turned around and tilted his head while he thought to himself. "A little girl…but something is odd…This child could it be? Hmm…there is no mistaking the resonance from her body. I’ll have to test her…” "Yuriko what the hell are you doing?” TJ yelled towards her. "It’s not safe here Yuriko! We can handle this!” Lianna cried out as well. Yuriko shook her head, "NO! I can fight this fight. I can’t watch TJ or any of my friends get hurt anymore…” Yuriko held her rod close towards her. Meta held his hand out towards TJ when he began to run towards her. "Do not worry TJ…I promise I won’t harm this child. I’d actually prefer to fight her right now.” TJ looked surprised. "What!? You’re fights with us!” Meta looked back at TJ for a second and then looked back at Yuriko. "Come child, let me see your true potential today!” Yuriko nodded and held her rod back out towards him. Meta levitated himself and held up both hands level with his head and charged them with Fire and Ice respectively. "Confirm my suspicions child!” Meta yelled.
